Teen Shot At Easton Town Center | NBC 4i

What a tragedy. Worst thing about this story is that the boy shot/killed his brother. I am an advocate for gun rights, and I do believe that if this child was educated in gun safety this never would have happened. What a sad tragedy.

Hello, hello!

So begins my days of blogging. I must admit this is not something I ever thought I would be interested in doing, but yet here I am.

I guess it's only proper to first introduce myself. My name is Megan. I am a mother to three amazing children: Rylee-6, Brooklyn-3, Sydnee- almost 3 mo. This year marks the 5th anniversary to when I said "I do" to my best friend and soulmate, Reggie. We had our first child, Rylee, in 2004. Rather than rushing into a marriage we decided to wait. I was only 20 when he was born and Reggie had just turned 22. We were so young, but yet somewhat mature enough to withstand the challenges and obstacles we would face over the years to come. Being a young mother has had it's challenges and struggles as well as some amazing rewards. I hope to use this blog as a means to discuss the issuses I face or have faced while being a young mommy.

In addition to being a mother and a wife, I am a forever learner as some people might say. I have two (almost three) bachelors degrees. My first degree was in business management and I recently received my BSN. This fall/winter I plan to return to school to finish my masters degree in nursing and obtain my practitioners license. I am currently an RN on a med-surg unit that has telemetry and specializes in oncology. This career lends itself to many Intersting stories.

Additionally, I am: an advocate for a multitude of causes, a naturalist, a little rustic, sometimes a fitness guru, a hopeless romantic, a lover, a fighter, almost always right (ha!), but above all genuine.

I am new to blogging and hope to use this space as a lace to ramble, vent, celebrate, and grow into the woman I am supposed to be. I am open to suggestions and encourage people to leave them!
